Find out more about the people of Robinson Law :
Suzanne started Robinson Law in Whakatāne in 1995 after she moved to Ōhope from Rotorua. She and her husband love Ōhope Beach and wanted to make the most of the beautiful coastal lifestyle and to raise their family there.
Over the years, Suzanne has gained a lot of experience in a range of legal areas, including family law, property and commercial law. She has been receiving court appointments as a Lawyer for Child for over 20 years and is also on the panel of Family Court Mediators.
With two children of her own, and owning her own business, Suzanne is committed to providing a balance of high quality professional legal service with a sense of approachability and intertwined family values. She has been on the Board of Trustees of her children’s schools for many years.

After four years, Suzanne sought to expand the practice, and on-board came Pete in 2000. Pete is a father of four children – so easily aligns himself to the family ethos of Robinson Law.
Pete gets a great deal of enjoyment from working with his clients to achieve the best outcomes possible. He strives to offer guidance, prevention, and protection when needed, whether it’s regarding family, personal, business or property matters.
He enjoys a varied workload and has wide general practice experience, from Family Law (he is also an experienced lawyer for child), Powers of Attorney, Estates and Wills, Employment and commercial/business law, property transactions, subdivisions, Māori land and Trusts. In fact, the only field of law that he doesn't have much involvement in anymore is criminal work.
Pete is one of Robinson Law’s resident athletes. He enjoys taking part in many of the community events – such as Toi’s Challenge and Monty’s Revenge.
